BIO:
In this project, my goal was to push myself to achieve as much as possible within a month. I focused on creating an entire environment using modular meshes and honing my skills in Unreal's FX capabilities. To further my practice, I created several fog systems for the scene, experimenting with what works and what doesn't. Due to time constraints, I used a few prop meshes and textures from Quixel Bridge. To help with localizing fog in specific areas, I purchased a plugin called EasyFog for Unreal. In this project, I decided to test out the water system in Unreal Engine 5. I spent some time each week adjusting the water controls. I did this to learn by testing different approaches to achieve the look I was going for. My inspiration for this scene came from games like Infamous and The Sinking City. Its setting is a flooded city within a post-apocalyptic world similar to ours. Overall, this project was a valuable experience that helped me solidify concepts for future projects.
